It’s that time of year again, where we all come together in celebration of books, wine and value for money – “THE BIOSOC BOOKSALE AND ALSO THE MED-DAY WARM UP NIGHT”.
The buying and selling will commence at 6.30pm on the 3rd of October (that’s next Thursday), in the Moyne institute. For you first years, this is the ominous looking building beside the pav at the far end of the cricket pitch. Once all copies of Stryer’s have passed hands, there will be a very entertaining talk from a mystery speaker at 7.30pm. The suspense.
No biosoc event would be complete without wine, and we will have plenty. We will also be splashing out on such fancy cheeses as “cheddar” and “mozzarella” for those of you with a sophisticated palate.
And sure by then we’ll all be well fed and watered and rearing for a good night out. We’ll be heading to a very exclusive venue (TBA) for fun and maybe even frolics. As is tradition, there will be a theme, this year’s being – “Colours”. Minimalist. Modern. Easy. First years will be required to wear green, 2nd years red, 3rd years yellow, 4th years blue and 5th years pink (as requested).
PLEASE ENSURE THAT ANY BOOKS TO BE SOLD HAVE AN ENVELOPE INSIDE THE FRONT COVER WITH YOUR NAME AND THE PRICE YOU’RE LOOKING FOR WRITTEN ON IT.
For those of you with books to sell, we will be available to take them off your hands at the following places and times:
